John Beeney is a singer, songwriter and pianist living in the Silver Lake area of Los Angeles. He blends beautifully poetic and sometimes heartbreaking lyrics with a sardonic sense of humor and soulful acoustic piano arrangements, earning him a place among the best singer-songwriters on today's indie music scene. If you could mix the smart, emotional lyrics of Shawn Colvin and Patty Griffin with the feel of Elton John, you might get a flavor called Beeney. (Click here to take a taste).
Did we mention his amazing voice? John works as a session singer in LA, and his voice has been heard in movies such as Jurassic Park III, The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, HBO's Angels in America, and I, Robot, among many others. His television credits include King of the Hill and Family Guy, and last holiday season he appeared in a television musical special that featured artists including Sarah McLachlan, Clay Aiken, Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Chaka Khan, and Natalie Cole. In 2003, John was thrilled to sing at the 75th Annual Academy Awards. (Click here to read John's full bio.)
